The directory browsing is the worst part though. Copying files 1+ GB takes 30 seconds or so, opening them takes 1-3 minutes. I do not know what fine means, but I hazard a guess of usable. The only things I am having trouble with are a) directory browsing (dreaded pinwheel) and b) opening files over the network - not best practice according to Adobe but many people have reported doing that (opening files over network) works fine.

If you Import the Shares it just brings the Windows Share into the Acornis Management application. What if I only want to use 1 or 2 the Windows shares? How does it import the shares? Does it duplicate the data? Does it make a link that a MAC can understand? I really need to satisfy those concerns before making any data active in the Acronis application. I already have live data on the Windows server and would not want to have it be wiped out by an incorrect configuration.
